OpenCore Legacy Patcher Releases — version history
Every major OpenCore Legacy Patcher stable release from v1.5.0 through the current v2.4.1, sourced directly from Dortania's GitHub releases. The latest OCLP version is v2.4.1 — released September 1, 2025.
The current OpenCore Legacy Patcher release. A small follow-up to v2.4.0 that switches the macOS installer-download source to AppleDB to fix a regression where the wrong or missing macOS installers were appearing.
- Switch installer source to AppleDB (resolves missing or incorrect installers showing up).
- Inherits all v2.4.0 fixes: T1 ApplePay on macOS 15.5, USB-1.1 cameras on Sequoia, lower CPU usage on the GUI thread.
A targeted stability release for T1-chip MacBook Pros and very-early Intel Macs. Resolves Apple Pay and coreautha crashes on macOS 14.4+/15.5, and restores USB-1.1 camera support under Sequoia.
- Resolve ApplePay erroring on T1 Macs in macOS 15.5.
- Resolve coreautha erroring on T1 Macs in macOS 14.4 or later.
- Resolve USB camera support on USB 1.1 Macs in macOS 15 or later.
- Reduce CPU usage on the UI thread in the GUI.

Initial macOS Sequoia 15.4 compatibility work — the line that brought legacy Metal GPU root patches into 15.4 territory. Followed by two quick hotfix point releases (2.3.1 and 2.3.2).

The first stable OCLP release supporting macOS Sequoia 15.0, accompanied by a major GUI rewrite of the OpenCore-Patcher app. Followed by quick 2.0.1 and 2.0.2 point releases.

- Major GUI rewrite. Followed by 2.0.1 (Sep 16) and 2.0.2 (Sep 27) point releases.
The final stable release in the OpenCore Legacy Patcher 1.x line. Solidified macOS Sonoma 14.5 support and closed out the legacy patching architecture before the 2.x GUI rewrite.
